High-angle shot
This scene is towards the middle and the commander is ordering an attack on princess Leias' home planet of Alderan. It is a high-angle shot because it is giving the feeling of power to the commander and fear and helplessness to the Princess. The purpose of this shot is to take power and strength away from a person or object.
extreme-long shot
This is a scene around the 1/4 mark. It is R2-D2 and C-3PO (Human Cyborg Relations) travelling from their escape capsule to find the old jedi master Obi-Wan Kenobi on the planet Tatooine. The point of this shot is to give the audience an idea of the setting, in this scene, a dry, arid desert.
mid shot
This scene is Han running from the storm troopers. They used a mid shot so they could capture the emotions on his face and the strain of running in his body.
close-up shot
This scene is when Luke, Han and most of the Rebellion go into battle with the Death-Star and Leia is still at base. Close up makes the audience know this thing (Leias' emotion on her face) is important to the scene.
Wide-shot
In this scene Luke is yelling at Han for being lazy and self centered. The purpose of this shot is to show the main characters or character in full and others in the foreground and background.
